Katherine Gristina, MS, LOTR, C/NDT, is an Occupational Therapist and owner of Sassafras Therapy Center. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at Spring Hill College and her Master’s in Occupational Therapy at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has 12+ years of experience working with children and adults in the hospital, NICU, and outpatient settings. She is certified in pediatric Neuro-Development Treatment Approach and has a graduate certificate in Low Vision. She is a Certified Pediatric Massage Practitioner (CPMP) with focus on infant and toddler massage. Her continued studies include treatment for torticollis, feeding and swallowing, and handwriting.  She is a certified teacher with Kidding Around Yoga. She also teaches etiquette classes to children. She is a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) with specialization in adaptive transportation seats for children with special needs. Katherine is licensed and registered with the LSBME and NBCOT. She uses a holistic approach with her clients and their families to maximize growth, independence, and well-being.  She resides in Mandeville and loves spending her free time with her husband, Scott, and their three children, Lucas, Gwyneth, and Abram.
